That is the background behind OptimusFlow Consulting. Till Oberhummer founded the company in Vienna in 2025 with one goal: to free DACH SMEs from operational Kundenchaos before it slows down growth. What brought me here
13 years with the same corporate group—first 11 years in business development and sales at Western Union (2011–2023, Fortune 500), a fintech company with over 200,000 business customers worldwide, consistently ranking in the global top 5% in terms of revenue and goal achievement. Then 2 years as General Manager at Convera (2023–2025), the Austrian payment institution for Central Europe that emerged from Western Union’s B2B business.
During that time, I saw one thing happen over and over again: well-run companies that hit a snag. Not because of the market. Not because of the product. But because processes that had worked with five employees broke down imperceptibly when the team grew to fifteen. Emails fell through the cracks. Quotes went out too late. CEOs got bogged down in day-to-day operations instead of steering the company.
In 2025, Convera closed its Austrian branch and offered to move to Luxembourg. I said no.
The pattern I had observed over the course of 13 years became a product idea.
